GENDER-RESPONSIVE LEADERSHIP & POLICY DEVELOPMENT

Course Objectives:
By the end of the workshop, participants will:

Session 2: Institutionalizing Gender in Policies & Programs

• Organizational best practices for gender inclusion

Day 2: Gender Analysis & Application of Gender Markers
Session 3: Tools for Gender Analysis
• Gender Analysis Frameworks (Harvard, Moser, and others)
• Data collection & gender-disaggregated indicators
• Gender-sensitive monitoring & evaluation
Session 4: Applying Gender Markers in Projects & Programs
• Understanding gender markers (IASC, OECD DAC, etc.)
• How to use gender markers in program planning and funding
• Common challenges and best practices

Day 3: Gender-Responsive Budgeting & Decision-Making
Session 5: Introduction to Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB)
• What is GRB, and why is it important?
• Steps in integrating GRB into policy and programs
• Case studies from successful GRB implementation
Session 6: Overcoming Barriers & Institutional Challenges
• Addressing resistance to gender-sensitive policies
• Change management and leadership strategies
• Building an accountability framework

a leadership setting
