AIDS, is considered one one of the most feared diseases of mankind, has spread to every part of the world, threatening people from all spheres of life. The first case of HIV infection was reported in 1981 homosexuals in the United States of America. In India, HIV reported in 1986 among commercial sex workers from Chennai.
The recent report from the Joint United Nations Program of HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated 37.8 million adults and 2.1 million children with HIV infection as on December 2003. The extensive prevalence of HIV/AIDS has to be seriously considered for any type of public health program.
In this section shall analyze the prevalence of HIV/AIDS at the Global, National and Regional levels together with its impact on the socio-development.

Minimum entry requirements
Common regulations governing Post-Graduate Diplomas shall be
applicable.
The following shall be eligible for admission.
a) Holders of a Bachelors degree from a recognized University
b) Holders of an equivalent qualification from any other recognized
Institution.
Fees
The cost of the course is $1000
Practicum
a) The Entire course Duration is one Year (2 semesters)
b) Candidates shall be expected to Submit 10 Assignments (Continuous
Assessment test) that Account to 70 % of their Work and a Project Paper at
the Tail end of the course, which accounts to 30 % of the course Work.
